Sean is the co-founder of NeochaEDGE. Ethnically half-Chinese, Sean has spent time living in Nanjing, Kunming, Beijing and Shanghai over the past 7 years.
He started Neocha.com by combining his love for technology with one of his other passions: creative youth culture in China. Since the site’s founding, Sean has built Neocha and NeochaEDGE into the premier communities for independent youth culture and creative communities in China.
In addition to Neocha, Sean is a contributing editor for PSFK, an international trends and innovation agency. Sean covers China and Asia Pacific trends for PSFK, writing weekly to an audience of over 500,000 readers. Sean also sits on the Flamingo Youth Expert advisory panel and acts as a China Internet Expert for the National Committee on United States – China Relations.
Sean is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Duke University, where he majored in Economics and graduated from the Johns Hopkins-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies. In his spare time, he is either pretending to learn the harmonica or reading Chinese comic books from the Cultural Revolution era.
