See below for a couple teaser videos from a client project that NeochaEDGE worked on with W+K Shanghai for UMBRO’s “The World Champions Collection,” the brand’s celebration of the world’s greatest football tournament this summer (yep, that one).

For the collection, UMBRO worked with seven renowned international creatives to represent their countries by redesigning their national crest. Each of the creatives hails from one of the seven nations that have ever won the tournament – Brazil (represented by Fernando Chamarelli), France (represented by Andre), England (represented by Ben Eine), Argentina (represented by ZZK Records), Italy (represented by Tanino Liberatore), Germany (represented by Thomas Marecki, aka: Marok), and Uruguay (represented by Martin Albronoz).

We’ve shared the full collection of national crest re-designs below (just under the teasers). They are all very cool, but our favorites are the ones done for Germany and Argentina. Yours? If you like it enough, get it on an UMBRO jersey shirt here.

For the China leg of “The World Champions Collection,” the campaign includes 90 minute regulation “PK-style” collaborations incorporating the redesigned crests with four EDGE Creative Collective members: Sail (representing England) vs. Nini Sum (representing France), and Xiao Longhua (representing Germany) vs. Tin.G (representing Italy). We’ll share videos capturing those collaborations very soon (watch this space), but for now, enjoy these fun teasers with Tin.G and Xiao Longhua.

For more video content related to “The World Champions Collection,” check out UMBRO’s Tudou page. Also, check out UMBRO’s Douban page for all sorts of other interesting stuff, like interviews with Xiao Longhua and Ting.G.

Last but not least, we’d like to throw up a special “high-five” to the W+K Shanghai Team (Brian Tseng, Melvin Tan, Dong Hao, Adrian Lai etc.) for working so hard to pull this all together. As always, you guys are a great group of passionate professionals.
