Musician RYE was born in China’s southern region, but now resides in Brooklyn. “Moon Rock Inland” is her solo music project, “[aimed] at discovering ‘gravitation,’ the latent connections between cosmic existences in a lyric hue, [at once] affectionate but gritty.” She got her inspiration from St. Augustine’s Confessions and Tagore. Listening to her song “Moon Rock,” it seems just like she is quoting Augustine: “My weight is my love; wherever I go, I am driven by it.”
