“YOU WRITE I DRAW” – part seven of the “KING OF SNAIL & THE ARTIFICIAL” series
We always stumble across interesting short stories online. Some are overly dramatic, while others truly resonate. The really good ones are the ones that we read all the way to the end, or maybe the ones we’ll read more than once. The best ones are the ones that we share with you, our readers.
Cryinggun is a young author who brings us a series of short stories with the “Snail King” as the main character. Each of the pieces can be read independently of one another. This short story, entitled “Snail King and Artificial Man,” is a piece that we especially loved… the story feels like a film script begging production.
For the Snail King series, NeochaEDGE invited ten illustrators who have previously been featured on our web magazine to create visual interpretations for each of the ten stories. We will feature them one at a time, so be on the lookout.
Our readers told us that they loved the first part of the story, illustrated by the Shanghai-based Yuan Zhenqin. Be sure to check it out here if you missed it. Part two from Dick Ng is here. Part three from Guo Qi is here. Part four from Nini Sum is here. Part five from Mojo is here. Part six from Tan Se is here.
The seveth installment features Beijing-based illustrator Zoo. We love this American comic style. Check it out below.
