It’s hard not to love Hangzhou-based photographer Ricenz’s work – for us, it was love at first sight.
His clean and pithy photographs do a wonderful job of capturing Chinese creative young culture, framing each shot in just the right moment. Gazing upon his pieces, you can almost feel the silky skin of a naked girl’s back with your eyes, or the supple leather of a handbag, the steamy breath of girl stuck in the cold…
We couldn’t agree more with Ricenz when he recently wrote on his blog: “…oh how lifeless photos can feel when taken out of the spontaneous or under direction…”

说实话在别的地方看到这些照片我都不认识自己了
[...] This world does not lack photographers, professional and amateur. A few of my friends and acquaintances are awesome photographers, and I’ve seen my share of striking, beautiful, haunting photos. So I’m not sure why I couldn’t stop looking at these photos taken by Hangzhou based Ricenz (from NeochaEDGE): [...]
THESE WORKS DO REPRESENT THE CHINA OF TODAY. YOUR SITE IS GOOD AND INFORMATIVE OF WHAT PEOPLE ARE UP TO THESE DAYS IN CHINA. MORE OF WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE PROVINCES WOULD BE GOOD.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !
