ENO X GreennovateLast week we had a meeting in Shanghai with Renee and Tor – the masterminds behind Shanghai-based urban & lifestyle apparel brand ENO – after which, Renee was nice enough to gift us a couple NETI (see below).

NETI is a simple mobile phone lanyard / key-chain product they collaborated on with Greennovate to raise environmental awareness in China.

The product itself is made from environmentally-friendly materials: 50% ABS plastic and 50% recycled post consumer and post industrial plastic, and is designed to communicate environmental challenges and offer (on the back of the packaging) ways for individuals to participate in solving them.

The story of NETI (who is actually a Yeti) starts in the mountains where ice is melting due to global warming. The melting ice forces NETI to leave his home. Immediate action is required from people living in cities and NETI politely teaches them how to help him.

NETI has four colorful personalities to express his thoughts about planet Earth: Orange – NETI feels the Earth is too hot, Blue – NETI thinks that clean water is important, Green – NETI understands how trees are essential to life, Black – NETI feels everyone should recycle and and change their ideas about waste.

The really cool part about this collaboration is that all proceeds from the NETI sales go to Greennovate’s environmental education programs, which you can read more about here.

NETI products are available at ENO stores around China and at ENO’s online shop. /// AjS
