Music and design are two worlds we bring together whenever possible, so we’re excited to announce a crowd-sourced poster design challenge to promote the China launch of headphone brand Urbanears.

Urbanears is dedicated to amplifying the link between you and your music. The Stockholm, Sweden-based brand promotes a deep connection to color, form, and people with its products, while providing the freedom to transcend individuality and unify the sound experience.

WOW! We love this philosophy (how can you not?!) and are huge fans of Urbanears. Their headphones are beautifully designed and of course absolutely rock!

See below for competition details and how you can participate to win free product! We are giving away 10 pairs of Urbanears PLATTAN headphones. The Plattan is designed to be the perfect classic headphone. It’s a full size on-ear model with a rich secluded sound in a compact body. It folds down to the size of your fist and comes with a ZoundPlug, allowing for a friend to plug in and share your music.

An introduction to Urbanears ///

THE DESIGN CHALLENGE ///

• Visually represent “Urbanears China: What’s Your Colour” in a promotional poster design done in your own unique style.

THE RULES (only 3!) ///

• Your poster design must 1) use the slogan – “Urbanears China: What’s Your Colour”, 2) use the Urbanears’ logo, and 3) include Urbanears’ products. To download a packet with all of these images / materials, link here.
• Beyond using the slogan, logo, and product images, the sky is the limit, you are free to do whatever you want!
• Multiple submissions are welcome. The more the better!

• Free product! We will be giving away 10 pairs of Urbanear’s PLATTAN headphones to the best design submissions.

SUBMISSIONS ///

Send your submissions to EDGE@Neocha.com with “新茶锋潮 x Urbanears” in the subject title. Be sure to include the following in your email:

• Your design submissions attached (or via download link) in a high-res format
• Contact information: full name / pen name, mobile phone, QQ / MSN, website / blog URL, preferred email, and location.
• A brief explanation of why your design is awesome (no more than 2 or 3 sentences).
• All the qualified submissions will be posted at the bottom of this post.

TIMING ///

• All submissions must be received by midnight on Feburary 13th, 2012. The 10 winning designs will be announced on or before February 15th, 2012 on NeochaEDGE.

THE VOTE ///

• We will take into serious consideration any and all feedback left in the comments section below – so, get your friends, family, loved ones, Ayi, pets, etc. to chime in – however, the winning design will ultimately be decided by the NeochaEDGE and Urbanears teams.
