See below for an animation titled “The Old Man and the Piglet.” It is a story about a lonely old man, who spends his time woodworking while waiting for the love of his life. This continues until one day, a cute piglet with a four leaf clover on its hip comes along and changes the old man’s life forever. When the old man dies, magical things begin to happen in the snowy night. The film was created by six girls (Sun Yiran, Wang Xingchen, Chen Xi, Zhang Yi, Zhao Xiadian and Chen Lingzi) from the Beijing Film Academy student animation group.
We featured it before in “The Beginning,” the documentary we produced for the Sydney Opera House’s Graphic Festivel.
