REMIX Project COLLECTION – LIMITED EDITION GRAPHIC TEES ///
MEET THE ARTISTS ///
WING SHYA, HONG KONG ///
Wing’s design for the Remix Project is inspired by the fluid nature of our memories. When we look back on our lives, we recall happy moments together, free of sorrow and regret. Colors fade, but the heart and soul stays – this is the essence of youth.
CRAIG & KARL, NEW YORK ///
Craig & Karl’s design for the Remix Project re-imagines the Gap logo T-shirt with a juxtaposition between loose, fluid shapes and tighter, regimented forms. Geometric pattern fills and bright colors create an atmosphere in which various elements interact with one another in a playful way.
CALVIN HO, HONG KONG ///
Calvin’s design for the Remix Project is a mash-up of the Gap logo T-shirt with an eclectic, hand-drawn composition that pays homage to all the things he values in life: sharing with friends, design, drawing, music, and staying curious.
GREATeclectic, HARLEM ///
GREATeclectic’s design for the Remix Project is inspired by the unyielding power, upward mobility, and free movement of pyramids, wings, and lightning. Showcased in bright, vibrant colors, these elements symbolize the spirit of Gap and our collective ambition.
WANG2MU, SHANGHAI ///
Wang2Mu’s design for the Remix Project is inspired by his enduring love for retro robots and expressed through the tip of a ballpoint pen. To him, robots represent modernity with a penchant for nostalgia, much like the spirit of Gap.
EMILY HOY, LONG BEACH ///
Emily’s design for the Remix Project is a reminder that all of us are interconnected within nature. We, as humans, share the eye of the tiger and need his vision to ensure our continued mutual existence.
RAINTREE CHAN, TAIPEI ///
Raintree’s design for the Remix Project conveys the power of youthful imagination. Through imagination, we’re able to look through the chaos of modernity, taste the joy of life, and discover the unbounded energies existing within each of us.
ARIAN BEHZADI, SAN FRANCISCO ///
Arian’s design for the Remix Project draws inspiration from where Gap’s story began. The shape of the design presents the brand logo in a collage of the state of California, where Gap was founded in 1969.
JAYE KANG, CHONGQING ///
Jaye’s design for the Remix Project presents the Gap logo T-shirt within a colorful adventure where we encounter unexpected thrills and dangers. The design is a reminder to do away with caution while we’re still young, so that we can bravely move forward.
SKIP HURSH, BROOKLYN ///
Skip’s design for the Remix Project is a psychic transmission of the lunar landscape’s terraformation as fueled by cosmic tacos, tongue portals, and our collective creative life force.
