events | HIMALAYAS SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL in shanghai
This summer has already been full of awesome music events, but it seems that the best is yet to come.
Coming up later this month is the Himalayas Summer Music Festival, hosted by the Shanghai International Arts Festival and the Zhengdai Himalayas Center, celebrating 25 years of rock music in China. Notable artists appearing onstage include Qu Wanting, the artist behind the popular “Inside the Sound of my Song”; rock band Escape Plan, world music band Xiban; and the prolific artists Hedgehog and Muma, who haven’t been seen onstage in awhile. With other acts including DJs, MCs, and rock bands, there should be something for everyone.
Building on the foundation of the 2011 Himalaya Summer Music Festival, this year’s festival will include music photography exhibitions, creative markets, charity events, and delicious food and drinks. Bring your good vibes and be a part of this celebration of music! Starting on July 25th, you will be able to purchase tickets through the websites Damaiwang and Gewalawang, or log on to the Himalaya Center’s website or Weibo to find out more information.
At NeochaEDGE, we’re all about the people that support Chinese creative culture. We’ll be giving away ten tickets for each day of the two-day concert via a contest on our Weibo, so be sure to check for updates at @新茶锋潮!
